Artist/teacher Janet Imerman teaches exciting mixed media workshops for all ages. Janet introduces children, teens and adults to the wonderful world of art through painting and drawing, sculpture and ceramics, and mixed media techniques. She has designed programs and taught art in both public and private schools, and at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, where she taught children's classes as well as painting at the Evenings for Educators program. She has worked for Apple Computer as an art educator in magnet schools, developed art history/fine arts programs for gifted students, and has lectured at conferences held by the California Association for the Gifted.
Janet graduated from the University of Michigan in Art Education and is a credentialed Art Specialist. She is certified by Dr. Betty Edwards in the teaching methods of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.
Janet is affiliated with the California Art Education Association, the National Art Education Association and the Valley Artist’s Guild. She is past President of the Los Angeles Public Library Docents.
